Tangy Spicy BBQ Wings

  • 2-3 lbs chicken wing sections
  • 1 Tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cracked red pepper
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 Tbsp lime juice
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 c beer
  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • 3/4 c AlternaSweets BBQ sauce
  • 1 c hickory chips, soaked and drained

Charcoal BBQ ready to go…
In a large mixing bowl, combine wings, chili, red pepper, cumin, garlic, onion, paprika, salt, pepper, lime, oil, and beer. Toss well to coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours. (I like 4-6). Barbecue on charcoal grill topped with soaked hickory chips. When done, return to a clean large mixing bowl. In a small bowl melt butter and heat Barbecue sauce together. Pour over chicken and toss. Serves 4-6!
